Today I presented to a full theater about what we are doing. It covered from beginning to end 1) The Problem: Plastic Bags, 2) The Solution, 3)How Do You Change Business: Carrotmob, 4) Action: V-Day, 5) Next Steps
In my opinion this is definitely the best way to get a handle on everything that is happening. Probably also the easiest way to explain it to a friend.
As V-Day gets closer we are stepping up our efforts to let more and more know what is happening. Yesterday the Bangkok Post featured our efforts to ban plastic bags in Thailand on the front page of their business section. See full article here.
66% reduction on bottled water. Meatless Monday was a success. Vegetarian/Organic section to be added 3 eco trips (planting trees, working with elephants & more) 2 amazing presenters Carrotmob # 2 and Earth Week being planned.
Hi, I'm Kerry and I guess you could say I lead the Green Panthers. However, there are many people who contributed along the way. We started out as a group of environmentally conscious people made up of teachers, parents, and board members. Now we are made up of MS and HS students. Our aim to increase environmental awareness at ISB and more importantly, start making positive environmental changes to reduce the school’s Eco (carbon) footprint.
Green Panther goals are to improve ISB’s environmental performance by: Activating environmental awareness, learning, and action; Analyzing consumption patterns and habits at ISB; Modeling responsible citizenship; Providing venues for meaningful social action; and Reducing our impact on the environment
